Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has forged a partnership agreement with the Federal Housing Authority to allocate more than 25 hectares of land for the low-cost housing project as part of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The aim is to provide affordable housing for civil servants with a flexible payment plan.

Speaking during a courtesy visit by a delegation from FHA, led by Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Oyetunde Ojo in Calabar, Governor Otu expressed his full support for the project.

He highlighted the economic benefits that would come from this partnership, such as job creation and overall development in the state.

Governor Otu also praised the leadership style of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and commended FHA for taking steps to ensure collaboration and synergy between the Federal agency and State governments involved in the project.

On his part, Mr Ojo emphasized the importance of housing and thanked Governor Otu for his support in providing land for the FHA’s Diaspora City project.

This land donation was deemed a priority requirement for the successful implementation of the project.
