The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, will be gracing the Investiture Ceremony of the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria (REDAN) as Chairman of the Occasion.

The ceremony is expected to provide a forum for the new leadership of the association to drive the agenda of affordable housing.

As the  (REDAN) prepares for its 5th investiture ceremony, expectations are high for the organization’s future agenda and goals. With a long history of advocacy and collaboration with the government, REDAN has been a driving force behind mass housing initiatives in Nigeria.

Under the leadership of Prince Akintoye Adeoye, REDAN has built partnerships with key stakeholders in the housing and construction sector, including government officials and agencies. The organization has also extended its reach to include the Housing Development Advocacy Network (HDAN) and other critical players in the industry.

As Prince Adeoye assumes leadership of REDAN, he promises to institutionalize the organization and promote discipline and professionalism through self-regulation. His vision includes sponsoring a law to back REDAN’s existence and ensuring its continued pivotal role in advancing mass housing initiatives for Nigerians.

The upcoming investiture ceremony, scheduled for Thursday, May 23, 2024, at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, will be chaired by the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Dangiwa, with the honorable host, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and Special Guest, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State. The event will feature keynote addresses by Dr. Agama Emomotimi, DG of the Securities and Exchange Commission, and Prof. Fabian Ajogwu, Founding Partner at Kenna Partners.

Traditional rulers, including the Ooni of Ife, HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, who serves as the association’s grand patron, will also be in attendance, alongside other distinguished invitees. The House of Representatives Committee on Housing and Habitat Chairman, Honorable Aminu Balele, will also be present to show support for REDAN’s mission.

With a new leadership and a renewed sense of purpose, REDAN is poised to make significant strides in advancing mass housing initiatives and promoting the interests of its members.”
