In a bid to enhance home ownership and resolve the housing deficit in Nigeria, Nigeria’s leading real estate company, Gtext recently allocated plots of land to several owners at two of its flagship estates, the Jasper Smart City, Isheri and Sapphire Water City Estate, Owutu, Ikorodu, Lagos.
The land allocation was witnessed by two of Gtext brand ambassadors namely, popular fuji musician, Alhaji Abass Akande Obesere, and On-Air Personality and Yoruba Radio Presenter, Kola Olootu.
Also present at the event were Queeneth Uchedu, General Manager, Gtext Lands, and Farouq Usman, CEO Gtext Homes.
Gtext Lands and Gtext Homes are subsidiaries of Gtext Holdings.
At the two estates, several landowners took possession of their properties.
Speaking, Obesere urged Nigerians to cultivate the culture of investing in properties as it is one of the most viable forms of investment.
According to him, the most valuable form of investment is in properties because it gives one peace of mind as you do not have to panic.
“Also, properties appreciate in value more than some other forms of investment that can depreciate.
“Even if you keep money at home, over time, you will find out that the money would have lost value,” he said.
Attesting to the credibility of Gtext Holdings, Obesere disclosed that he decided to associate with the company because they are reliable.
“l have been with the brand for 5 years after carrying out due diligence and proper research about the real estate company, and I am proud of them as their standard keeps growing.
“Also, the chairman of the company, Dr Stephen Akintayo is a complete gentleman who has an image to protect.
“Likewise, l am popular figure, with my credibility at stake and that is why I can associate myself with a brand like Gtext because they are trustworthy.
Therefore, l can assure that when it comes to property, Gtext Lands is a reliable brand,” he said.
On his part, Olotu disclosed that he partnered with the real estate company because of its credibility.
According to him, Gtext Lands runs an open-door policy and are totally stress-free in their dealings hence my association with the brand.
Olootu added that Sapphire Water Estate by Gtext Lands is a testimony that land truly appreciates with time.
“This land just two years ago when I first came here, it was sold for N1.5 million but currently, the value stands at N15 million.
Obesere thereafter advised government to improve the road networks and rehabilitate bad roads.
He noted that good road networks makes navigation possible.
Obesere therefore, advised government to pay extra attention to road rehabilitation and construction.
“This would go a long way in helping estate developers and foster development.
Also speaking on behalf of Gtext Lands, Queeneth Uchendu explained that there are so many ways to make profit from real estate as a smart investor. According to her, “Land banking is something that not many people are focused on, but in reality, it is a smart and safe investment.”
