In a bid to provide affordable housing to prospective homebuyers in Enugu State, the Enugu State government has entered into a collaboration with two estate developers, Hymac Real Ltd, a subsidiary of Hyfield and Allied Associates Ltd and Toshel Nigeria Ltd, to develop two estates at Phase 7, Trans Ekulu, Enugu.

The General Manager of Enugu State Housing Corporation (EHDC), Mr. Gerald Asogwa, represented by the Corporation’s Senior Legal Adviser, Titus Ngene, made this known during a press briefing in Enugu on Thursday, December 14, 2023.

“We have invited you this afternoon to present to you a very good investment. Enugu State Housing Development Corporation is an agency of government that has the mandate of meeting the housing needs of the state. He stated that the state government has subsidised the cost of acquiring property in the estates.

“We are presenting to you Conquest Estate and Kateland Estate both at Phase 7, Trans Ekulu Enugu. These two neighboring estates will be the biggest estate in the South East. It is planned in such a way to have state-of-the-art infrastructure. We want our people both home and abroad to come in and invest in this opportunity”, he said.

In his speeches the Managing Director of Hyfield and Allied Associates Ltd, Okey Ayogu, said that while Hyfield is the owner and developer of Kateland Estate in its private capacity, his company is collaborating with Housing Corporation and its developer, Toshel Nigeria Ltd, to ensure a conducive development and business environment for its Kateland Estate and the Housing’s Conquest Estate.

“The two estates are to compliment each other to provide the best environment for the new city by provision of the state of the art infrastructures for the service of their residents”, Ayogu stated.

Asogwa, Ayogu and Managing Director of Toshel Nigeria, Tochukwu Nzekwe, jointly called on investors to take advantage of the opportunity, saying it would usher in increased economic activities in the South East region.
