The Federal Housing Authority (FHA) has indicated interest in partnering Yobe state government to construct Low-Cost Housing Estates in the state.

FHA Managing Director, Oyetunde Oladimeji Ojo, stated this recently when he paid a courtesy visit to Governor Mai Mala Buni.

He said, “The FHA is desirous of partnering with the government of Yobe state in the provision of housing for the teeming populace by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in using housing as a catalyst to drive the economic development of Nigeria.”

The Managing Director said the Federal Housing Authority would require 100 hectares of land in a suitable location for the project, noting that the houses would be constructed “within the shortest possible time”.

Governor Buni assured FHA of his administration’s readiness to partner with the authority for the construction of the houses.

He said the government would ensure meeting its obligations for the success of the project.

Buni commended the FHA for the wise decision of choosing Yobe State for the housing project.
