The Asagba of Asaba, Prof. John Edozien, has said that the multi-million Vocational Training Centre (VTC) in Asaba, Delta State, will solve the problem of housing in Asaba, the state capital.

The Asagba made this known at the official launching of VTC, located at the back of the Federal College Technical, in Asaba. While harping on the need for all to work towards effective development of the city, the monarch said he was elated to see his dream of having a vocational training centre come to reality in his lifetime.

Edozien, who was represented by the Odogwu of Asaba, Obi Nwanze Oduah, said that the vocational training centre and Luxury Estate will also attract more investors to Asaba.

The consultant to the Asagba of Asaba on Land Matters and Water Front Projects, Architect Ofili Mordi, in an interview, said that building the training centre was part of decisions reached by the Federal Government to ensure that part of the vast area of land allocated for the Federal College Technical, Asaba, was to create a buffer zone of human habitation.

According to him, this is to invigorate human activities in that location to ensure that hoodlums do not use the location for their activities.
