Lagos Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Building has concluded plans to establish a one-stop shop for building materials in the state.

The Treasurer of NIOB, Philips Ayotunde, disclosed this in an exclusive interview with The PUNCH in view of the partnership between the Lagos Chapter of the institute and Pintar Services Limited.

He said the facility would serve as an all-in-one location for the different professionals in the Lagos State built industry, creating easy access to building materials in the state.

He said, “This facility is still in the design phase and we are looking at a centralised location that is not too far from the mainland, and not too far from the Island. This will reduce the burden on us as an institute to avoid people being scammed of their hard-earned money and avoid the use of quacks in the industry, leading to failed buildings that have birthed several building collapses.

“Hence, this will aid in proper monitoring of professionals in the state and building material qualities being used. We have been in existence in the past 30 years. We want to resuscitate the built environment.”

The Head of Sales and Marketing, Pintar Services Limited, Dominic Oladeji, noted that the Company was the sole representative of international leading paint brands that offer a wide range of decorative paints, industrial paints, waterproofing products, epoxy products and other coatings.

He said, “The Company manufactures high-quality paint brands locally, using the best and latest formulas with first class raw materials. The locally produced brands compete favourably with global paint brands. Today, the company is firmly established and widely known as a spearhead in the interior and exterior finishes business, with many high-end projects that reflect the high quality of its products and services.

“The company’s wide range of paints and coatings can suit any budget, without any compromise on quality, professionalism and excellent customer service. Pintar has computerised paint-producing machines that are capable of producing over 12,000 different colours of paint in any required quantity within short notice.”

The Chairman of NIOB, Lagos State, Builder Lucky Isename, commended Pintar Services Limited for its role in enhancing the built sector through the provision of superior paint brands to clients over the years.

According to him, an agreement was reached to work together to ensure that value is continually offered to stakeholders in the Nigerian built sector.
